Everyone knew this was different. It wasn’t only the giddiness, excitement, or laughter that comes with a burgeoning relationship that showed how smitten they were. While those things were present, it was quiet, methodical actions that made friends and family realize that this was different. Trevor and Katherine met online and while the jokes about “swiping right” on Tinder, at the ceremony had everyone in laughter, it’s no joke how unbelievably perfectly matched these two were. They bring out so many amazing traits in one another and the gleaming joy and emotions I witnessed on this day are evident in just a few of the shots below. I think of this as a wedding of pure and raw moments that overshadow any of the pretty and fancy details so I’ve included more of them as opposed to ring shots, decor, ok … but maybe a couple of the cake. Well, because, lace. The cake was made to mimic the gorgeous lace detail of Katherine’s wedding dress.
I know the couple and some of their story as Trevor and I were friends in high school. Keeping up via social media, it was even evident to me that they had found something special in one another when news of their engagement was posted with sheer joyous images depicting a new chapter in this journey of life together. I was ecstatic to hear from them on their quest for a Colorado Springs Wedding photographer and Katherine and I only meeting by phone, hit it off right away. I could tell instantly she was fun, energetic, and incredibly loving. What a joy to see Trevor, and quite a handful of amazing people from high school days that have stuck together as close friends. The friendships and love surrounding these two from years in the making and such long pasts together brought my heart so much delight.
Trevor and Katherine were wed on a sunny summer day, mid July at Cheyenne Mountain Country Club in Colorado Springs, CO. The quiet garden setting amidst the Broadmoor area and foothills of Cheyenne Mountain were picture perfect. It made for a day for so many who love and support this couple to remember forever and a day that I feel honored to have been a part of ensuring they remember it in all of its glory, forever. Congratulations you two, so much joy and happiness to your life together! – Jill
