The conditions couldn’t have been more perfect on an early-December evening near Horsetooth Reservoir to capture Ty & Matt’s Fort Collins Engagement Photography session. These two could be the most pretty people matched together I’ve seen in a long…forever, but to top that, it’s evident that they are beautiful on the inside and clearly at home with one another. Their love and joy emits when they’re together and they radiate an unspoken but very evident connection and love that was so special to be able to capture.
They plan to be married July 8, 2017 at Flying Diamond Ranch, just outside of Steamboat. It’s their dream to have an outdoor, summer mountain wedding. The venue they’ve chosen is a breathtaking 3,000 acre ranch with views of the Steamboat mountain range and they couldn’t be more excited to get married there.
They first met back when they were teenagers and Ty says she didn’t take much notice at first, but meeting him again at 25 , he caught her eye. “Not to mention he loves the snow, and Ty is a sucker for snowboarders.” They connected and got to know each other through Ty’s cousin who has been good friends with Matt for over 20 years. Ty had just moved back to Fort Collins from New York City and planned to meet up for a drink with her cousin. Matt ended up tagging along and the two of them ended up dancing the night away at the Motet show at the Aggie Theater in Fort Collins. The rest is history as they say. They love to snowboard, wake board, do yoga and binge-watch Netflix together. They have to dogs, Diesel – an all-white Pit Bull and Bella is their little black Chihuahua/Pomeranian, that they like to take them for walks around the lake by their house.
